Listener says it sounds like a metal ladder scratching.
The delay isn't working
Multiple complaints from listeners that we are over-modulating/distorted both on DJ vocals and music.
Severe buzz on TT1 when playing.
CD4 beginning to show signs of skipping. Had been working just fine until this evening.
Mic 3 has a major his when on.
Mic 2 does not appear to be working. Meters do not move when you speak into it.
There is a buzz coming over the air. I heard it on the way in. And I can hear it in the headphones also
The delay has been repaired and I just reinstalled it. Be vigilant and use it if necessary! 🙂 Steve
THE PROGRAM DELAY MANAGER (THE DUMP BUTTON MACHINE) IS NOT ON. I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN IT ON.
update to last week's post--the signal has been fixed and sounds normal again (hooray!), and the OnAir light over the RIU2 Studio door is off again, but the status of the OnAir light over the main studio door still remains, and the dump/delay device is still off, so 12 sec dump is still not available
As has already been addressed on the staff email, the over-air broadcast sound is distorted, sounds over-driven, like the VU levels are into the red, even though they are not, so something along the line needs to be reset, recalibrated, etc. Also , the delay system is off, the display screen is dark, so no dumping is possible, and don't know how to turn it back on, power switch must be in back somewhere, unless it got unplugged? Don't know, don't want to go poking around with things I don't know. Also, it's hot in the studio again, but I'm guessing that the building AC also needs a reset, but that's not your problem. One other thing- there is no one in the RIU2 studio, but the On Air light is lit over the door, so is the mic on inside, or is that another reset issue? And...their On Air light works, but ours has been out for a whole year, now! It has been noted here, maintenance was notified, they said they would fill out a work order, a note was posted on studio door, which is still there, but still, it has not been fixed!! Since a work order was filled out, it sounds like it is something they have to do, we can't just change a light bulb ourselves, it's more involved than that....anyway, things to look into. Thanks.
THERE IS ONLY ONE (RED) PATCH CABLE HERE. ITS TOO SHORT TO RUN FROM AUX 2 (TOP DECK). THE AUX PORT IS ON THE FAR RIGHT SIDE OF THE DECK. WHERE IS THE LONGER CORD? AUX 1 SOUNDS INCREDIBLY TINNY.
Needle on TT2 cartridge is broke off.
Broken needle
Not suitable for DJ use. Please replace with a Numark or new Tascam. Issues are:
1) No single playback mode. 2) Display does not provide track # nor time used/remaining on a track; 3) Also useless without the remote which is nowhere to be seen.
Volume in relation to other CD players is very low.
CD4 very unreliable, screwed up my show twice. CD1 also failed once. Embarrassing! New player worked OK, despite quirky controls. At least we can fast fwd. and reverse--not an option with the Numark units.
The Mics have a lot of distortion. Received numerous complaints from listeners.
This is the second week in a row
TT1 still has a severe buzz. You also have to almost max out the volume to play it over the air
