Off button for MIC 2 is sticking, light is off, sometimes has to be pressed twice to work
This CD player skipped on a perfectly good CD for the umpteenth time.
terrible buzzing continues to make TT1 unusable. TT2 is barely usable as well...buzzing is not as bad but still there, and the level on that turntable is far below the rest of the board. Having only one turntable makes it impossible to properly transition from one record to another without dead air.
Yellow button from the main console became dislodged
Both CD players skipped on opening tracks of 2 different CDs.
Neither turntable is suitable for on-air play because of a loud audible buzz in both of them.
we are off air, nothing heard on radio. playlist is fine so we still seem to be streaming
confirming buzzing soundas noted before
CD player #2 locked on a commercial CD that worked very well on my home machine. This causes me frustration and embarrassment on air and sets a hokey tone for the station overall. I mean, you simply do not hear this kind of breakdown on other stations.
Neither turntable is currently usable as there is an audible buzz in both. Both CD players 1 and 2 skipped on my repeatedly. (Those are typically the ones that "work.") So essentially I had no hardware to play on my show tonight without noises or skipping damaging the listenability of the show.
I have to echo Ron Marsh's frustration over the CD players. This model has been awful forever and it needs to be replaced...and emphatically NOT replaced with more of the same CD player. We need CD players that 1) work, 2) have a fast forwarding function so we can scan through the tracks, and 3) have a loading tray.
Players 2 and 3 failed, and the disc finally played on #4. Later a disc began well on player 4 but track noise got bad and I had to fade it out and restart it on #1, which seems to perform the best.
My household donated $150. this year for Radiothon. When will we see donations going into equipment replacement?
Players 2 and 4 both failed with two discs each today, and eventually I shut down 4. Machine 3 failed with one disc.
Machine #1 seems to be the most reliable.
Folks, it's getting a bit discouraging, and I failed even to note here the problems I had last Thursday.
When you're not acknowledged, and when no remedies whatsoever are made after months of problems... is there any use in continuing to make reports?
minor thing, but the clock on the board still needs to be reset to the correct DST time
Buzzing
BUZZES very noticeably
When i turned off mic 3 to continue playing from aux2 it made a horrible scratching noise over the studio speakers for about 30 seconds and then just stopped. it wasn't playing on air, just within the studio speakers
Machine skipped with a commercial (not home-made) CD. Again on-air disruption and embarrassment as I groped for a replacement CD player. WHEN WILL WE GET NEW CD PLAYERS? Please note: My entry from 2 weeks ago went unanswered.
Good CD locked and would not play. On-air embarrassment for me. Perennial question: WHEN WILL THESE MACHINES BE REPLACED?
Balance is heavy to the left on TT2 and needs adjustment
TT1 also making grumbling noises - I believe it is an issue with the motor, as I am using the jazz depts stylus and it is still occurring
