cd 3 performing badly on several cds
the cds played fine in other machines
All outlets provide interference when the PC plug is plugged into them.
TT2 Not playing music. Tried multiple records. TT1 stylus still broken.
For some reason, the signal from my laptop into the board cut out on the aux channels. I moved the plug between the two channels, no luck. I then plugged in my iphone (with a show backup) via my personal cable and voila, the music continued. I then checked my laptop with a headphone from the jack and it worked fine. Is the blue taped cable in the station on the fritz?
Someone called in and said that playing from their computer (Safari) is not working
Now that we are back to Standard Time, the clock on the board needs to be reset. The maintenance people reset the clock outside the studio, and our engineer Steve Callahan came in to get the EAS clock on the wall going as well, so it is back on and set to the correct time. Hooray!
mic 2 volume is way low
The main clock in front of the DJ booth is not on
the left channel is much lower than the right when playing through the booth computer. Playlist seems to be equal.
there was nothing on for the stream this morning when I came in.
Left channel has significant feedback!
CD player #4 choked and I deemed to shut it down. A bit later, #1 mysteriously gave garbled audio halfway thru a PSA. I switched to #2 and the disc played thru well.
Am getting the impression the Trouble Log may be an exercise in futility. Aging CD players go unreplaced. If our TL entries were paper notes, they'd be read with a yawn and tossed away.
need more log sheets printed up, we are on the last one!
when I came in this morn, Access 1 on the board ("Sam's Feed=leave on") was off. Was this a "whoops!" or is it not being used anymore? Not the first time this has happened, so perhaps a reminder on the staff feed would be helpful to remind us, in case the "leave on" messages right there aren't enough??!!
Both produced very weak and poor audio on two homemade discs that regularly play well here. CD4 handled both discs well, but the clumsiness of changing machines midstream is a bummer. Also CD3 jammed and I had to shut it down.
Volume too low. Have to max out both my PC and the aux riser and it is still not at a proper volume. Can the aux channels be recalibrated somehow to provide more volume?
Head phone jack looses left channel. It needs to be rotated and pulled out a little to work
Aux 2 Slider delivers static as it is moved.
CD 4 was turned off when I got here, not sure what might be wrong with it. CD 3 did not scan my cd, and when I went to eject it, it would not open on the first couple of tries, the tray was slightly out of alignment, and would hit the top frame instead of opening. upon the third try, I gently helped it open, removed the cd, and turned it off. 1 and 2 were fine.
PSAs do not get to the board.
